The daughter of James and Henriett Duke Bowers was Sarah, better known as Sallie Bowers. She married
Harvey D. Shadrach in Granville County, NC on February 7, 1820. They moved to Carroll County, Virginia where they had
a family of four children; Jacksa Jane Shadrach/Shadrick; George, James and Lemuel Shadrach. Jacksa Jane Shadrach, born
about 1828 married Thomas Jackson Bradner. Thier daughter, Mary A. "Polly" Bradner married Asa Barton Reynolds in 1878.
