Henry Tilley was born circa 1745 in Albemarle County, Virginia. He was a veteran of the American Revolution.

He and wife Elizabeth made their home in what is now Stokes County, North Carolina. They are my ancestors.

Their daughter, Sarah "Sally" Tilley married C. Anderson Allen of NC. Sally and Anderson lived in NC and then in Patrick County, Virginia. Their daughter, Elisabeth D. "Liz" Allen married Thomas Shelton in 1835, Patrick County, Virginia.

I believe that HENRY TILLEY married  Margaret Elizabeth Martin.
I believe Isaac Martin may have been her father.
Their daughter, Sarah "Sally" TILLEY married Anderson ALLEN and they moved from NC to Patrick County, Virginia.  By 1835 Anderson's children began marrying in Patrick Co VA.
C. Anderson Allen inherited land from his father-in-law, Henry Tilley in NC.  I have  a copy Anderson Allen's estate papers from 1848 Patrick Co VA.
