Harvey D SHADRICK is first found, by name, in the 1820 Granville Co NC census record and in his 1820 marriage record. Harvey and wife, Sarah "Sallie" removed to Carroll Co VA before 1850.

Also in Carroll County VA were James and Lemuel SHADRACH of North Carolina, undoubtedly related to Harvey SHADRACH in some manner. In 1850, James and Lemuel were in Mt.Airy NC in Surry County before moving to nearby Carroll Co VA before 1860.

1. Harvey D. SHADRACH (Mr. SHADRACH1) was born ABT 1776/1790 * in Granville Co NC, and died 10 Sep 1861 in Carroll Co VA. He married Sarah BOWERS 7 Feb 1820 in Granville Co NC, daughter of James BOWERS and Henriett DUKE. She was born ABT 1801/1804 * in NC, and died 1871 in Carroll Co VA.

+ 3 ii. George SHADRACH was born ABT 1833.

2. Jacksa Jane SHADRACH (Harvey D. SHADRACH2, Mr. SHADRACH1) was born ABT 1830 in NC. She married Thomas Jackson BRADNER, son of John Henry BRADNER and Sarah Elizabeth JONES. He was born ABT 1829 in Halifax Co VA, and died 1898/1900 in Carroll Co VA.


Children of Jacksa Jane SHADRACH and Thomas Jackson BRADNER are:

5 ii. Martha J BRADNER was born 1858 in Carroll Co VA, and died 1932. She married James William WHITE 10 Feb 1876 in Carroll Co VA. He was born 1854 in Carroll Co VA, and died 1929 in Carroll Co VA.

+ 6 iii. Mary A. BRADNER was born 31 Dec 1862 in Carroll Co VA, and died 22 Oct 1945 in Carroll Co VA.

7 iv. Julia BRADNER was born 1864 in Carroll Co VA, and died 1887. She married Jacob AYERS 1 Jul 1880 in Carroll Co VA.
8 v. William Ellis BRADNER was born 1868 in Carroll Co VA.

9 vi. Roxanna BRADNER was born 1873 in Carroll Co VA, and died 1937. She married John Floyd AKERS 31 Aug 1891 in Carroll Co VA. He was born 1860 in Carroll Co VA, and died 1943 in VA.

3. George SHADRACH (Harvey D. SHADRACH2, Mr. SHADRACH1) was born ABT 1833. He married Sarah Adeline JONES 7 Nov 1853 in Surry Co NC, daughter of Archibald JONES and Elizabeth MCMILLION.

Children of George SHADRACH and Sarah Adeline JONES are:

10 i. Charity A. SHADRACH was born ABT 1855. She married John WARF 13 Aug 1872 in Carroll Co VA.

Per the 1820 census age groups, Harvey would have been born sometime between the years of 1775 and 1794. The transcription of his record of death would indicate he was born circa 1776, while census records would show a younger man born circa 1790.

Sarah would've been born sometime between the years of 1794 and 1804. Her record of death would indicate her birth to have been circa 1801.
